Mike Cordova
West Sacramento, Yolo County

My name is Mike Cordova. I live in the city of West Sacramento in Yolo County. I would like to be an active member of the delegation. I will be eligible for retirement in February and may have a more flexible schedule. I'm currently a Yolo County Council member, GA/SGA Delegate, and CA delegate to GPUS. I've been an Alternate CA delegate to GPUS and a member of the Luis J. Rodriguez for Governor campaign committee. I'm the Second Vice-Chair of the Yolo County Workforce Innovation Board (highest allowed Union position). I have a BA degree in Legal Studies and Economics Combined with a minor in Politics from UC Santa Cruz. I currently hold approximately 8 Board positions.

Ann Garrison
Alameda County

I became a registered Green at some point between 2000 and 2005, can't remember which year precisely, but I have been active, first as a San Francisco Green, then as an Alameda County Green. By active I mean that I have attended meetings and responded to calls for Greens to show up and speak at City Councils and Boards of Supervisors meetings.

I am a journalist, specifically a Contributing Editor to Black Agenda Report, and a contributor to the The Grayzone, the San Francisco Bay View Newspaper, Black Star News, Counterpunch, Consortium News, Global Research, Pambazuka News, and Pacifica Radio. I produce news for KPFA-Berkeley and work on "Covid, Race, and Democracy," a weekly national Pacifica Radio show. I have often covered Green politics and in 2016, I co-hosted Pacifica's coverage of the Green Party Presidential Nominating Convention in Houston. When the coverage began I introduced myself as "an embedded journalist, because I'm a registered Green covering the Green Party Convention."

Rick Greenblatt
San Diego, San Diego County

1. Name, etc.: Rick Greenblatt, city and county of San Diego

2. Vision: As an ecosocialist, I place a high priority on building a party that combines electoral and activist work, that advances the fight for political and economic democracy, that defends the environment, that opposes militarism and imperial war, that supports the right of self-determination for subject nations like Palestine and Ukraine, and that stands for the rights of workers, women, people of color, immigrants, and indigenous and LGBTQI+ people. Our current challenge: Find effective ways to resist the reactionary, Trump agenda.

3. Experience and Current Positions: A long-time activist, I helped organize demonstrations of thousands against the wars in Iraq an Afghanistan. I actively supported the Green Party campaigns for Peter Camejo, Jill Stein, Howie Hawkins, and Luis Rodriguez, among others. I am currently a member of the San Diego County Council, a delegate to the GPCA General Assembly, a former co-chair of the GPCA Membership and Outreach Committee, and a delegate to the GPUS National Committee. I also serve on the editorial board of New Green Horizons. You can find out more about my political ideas from my writing in New Green Horizons [1] as well as on my Substack page [2]..

Victor Hernandez
Anaheim, Orange County

My name is Victor Hernandez, resident of Anaheim, Orange County and active member. I am nominating myself/volunteering to be a delegate for GPCA to the GPUS. I have volunteered before and I am willing to do it again. My experience is minimal but open to learning as my goal is to grow the GPOC and be more active at state level. I can organize and have experience canvassing. At the state level I’d like to see more activity, maybe counties coming together for events or rallies?

Thank you

Greg Jan
Oakland, Alameda County

I've been involved with the Greens almost since the beginning (since 1985), helping to organize the East Bay Green Alliance here.  From 1989 until 1992, I helped with the organizing to found our state party, and then worked on election campaigns, including for Ralph Nader, Peter Camejo, Laura Wells, and Jill Stein. I've served many County Council terms, have helped with our county Voter Guides for decades, and am active with the state Coordinating Committee and the Candidates Committee.

Outside of the Greens, I've volunteered with peace groups, coordinated Berkeley Earth Days. was employed as Operations Director at the county food bank, and served on the Board (including as President) of Oakland's Ohana Asian Cultural Center. I was also active with Occupy Oakland, Strike Debt Bay Area, and KPFA radio elections.

I've served several terms on our GPUS delegation, was a co-chair in 2008 and 2009, participated in 6 ANMs/conventions between 2002 and 2008, and helped coordinate several of our national proposals

Although I will continue to be very busy with a range of local and state Green Party work, I would be fine with again serving as a "less active" member of our delegation to the GPUS.

Orlando Johnson
Oakland, Alameda County

Orlando Johnson, a native of Oakland, California, has been an active participant in civic affairs since 1999 when he registered as a Green.

His political journey includes a mayoral candidacy in 2006, a second attempt in 2010 (where he later withdrew to assume the role of campaign manager for Don Macleay), and subsequent involvement with the Oakland Green Party Chapter in 2011. In 2012, Johnson played a pivotal role in a coalition that successfully established the first Oakland Municipal City I.D. Card, a pioneering achievement at the national level.

Demonstrating his commitment to the Green Party cause, he served as a campaign buddy from 2012 to 2020, offering support to candidates across the spectrum. His dedication earned him a place on the County Council of the Green Party of Alameda County in 2021 and subsequently, he served as a state delegate from 2021 to 2023. Building on his growing influence, Orlando Johnson reached new heights in 2023 by becoming a national delegate and securing a position on the Green Party Credentials Committee, further solidifying his impact on both local and national levels within the party.

Jared Laiti
Sacramento County

A Green voter since I was eligible to vote, I am committed to the full political independence of the Green Party from the corporate-dominated parties and believe that we should run the strongest possible campaigns for every office. GPUS must embody our ten key values in order to draw support for them. Likewise, if we hope to change the current political system, we must challenge it at its root. We must move beyond capitalism if we are to ever live in a world based on our values.

I have been active at all levels of the party, from local to national. I currently serve as GPCA Liaison to the Secretary of State. I graduated as valedictorian from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in May 2010 and was admitted to the State Bar of California in December 2010.

I am willing to continue to serve in the interests of having a strong CA delegation to GPUS. Please re-elect me to the GPCA delegation to the GPUS so that I can help work to make the GPUS a stronger force for democratizing our current political system and a living example of our key value of grassroots democracy.
